Name: Josh Miller
Country: Peru
How long have you been on the mission field?
3.5 years
In a paragraph, how did you become Born Again?
I grew up in church and understood much of the message of the gospel as a child, but did not receive Christ until I was 18 years old at a mens retreat. I recognized how my sin separated me from the Lord, and how the only way to be reconciled with my Creator was to repent and believe the gospel.
In a paragraph, can you describe the mission or vision of your ministry?
Our desire is to plant independent Baptist churches strategically here in Peru and to see those churches function and thrive under trained Peruvian leadership. Our first church plant is strategically located where we may branch out and plant other churches in the surrounding areas to reach more people for Christ.
What is the biggest challenge(s) or difficulty that you face as a missionary?
The biggest challenge we face in our area in a spiritual sense is religion. Many people are trapped in tradition and religion and do not see their need for a personal relationship with Christ. Practically, a challenge we face in our area is the high cost of land in order to provide a home for a church to thrive without paying rent.
Do you have any prayer requests that we can pray for you?
Please pray for continued spiritual growth and wisdom in our family so that we may lead and disciple others to be more like Christ.
