How long have you been on the mission field? 24 years
In a paragraph, how did you become Born Again?
I accepted Christ as my Savior in 1983 at a Sunday evening church service in Waynesville, North Carolina after hearing the message of the Gospel preached plainly. Under conviction of the Holy Spirit, I placed my trust in the sacrifice of the Lord on the cross for me.
In a paragraph, can you describe the mission or vision of your ministry?
I have been serving as a missionary to Thailand since 2001, planting churches and starting a Bible institute. In 2009, I began Biblical Archaeology Ministries, and in 2015, I began Baptist Training Center Publications. I became president of Emmaus Baptist College of Brandon, FL in 2023.
What is the biggest challenge(s) or difficulty that you face as a missionary?
Even though I minister full-time at Emmaus, I still juggle several other ministries: Thailand missions, archaeological excavations in Israel, book publications, and speaking engagements around the US. God is blessing in all, but my biggest challenge is finding the time to do all that needs to be done as well as getting the help I need to come alongside these ministries in a personal, tangible way to share the burden and blessings.
Do you have any prayer requests that we can pray for you?
My wife who works right beside me everyday, along with my oldest daughter Tara, both suffer from long-term serious health issues and need your prayers. Also, please pray for me as I travel.
Any additional comments you would like to share with us.
Your church is a tremendous blessing to Emmaus and to me personally. Thank you for being faithful to the calling of Christ!
