EABC Church News June 11, 2026

Hello !

It is a joy for us to welcome Ty Haile and his wife Kirsten to Eastern Avenue Baptist Church. Ty will be assisting with Pastoral duties and ministry and will be focusing on the work of our children’s ministries- in particular, our Junior Church and Middle School teens. Ty and Kirsten were recently married and we are excited for them as they are starting their life together. We are thankful that God has sent them to us.

Our ladies are planning a Wedding Shower for Kirsten this coming Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. They are registered on Amazon’s Wedding Registry. We hope that our ladies join us Sunday afternoon to make Kirsten feel loved and welcomed at EABC.

Men… not to be left out, please remember our breakfast on Saturday, June 13th at 9:00 am. Our ladies are preparing the meal and as one of his first “official duties”, Ty will be bringing a devotion for the men and boys.

Exciting news… the new Church Directories are here!
(If you had your picture made, please see Susie Paras for your copy of the directory.)

VBS, “Junkyard Redemption” begins June 22nd – 26th, 2026 from 6:30 – 8:30 nightly. A family meal is offered from 5:45 – 6:15 each night. We are praying for a great time for our children and teens. There is no cost for your children to attend this great program.

NOTE– we are in need of empty soup and vegetable cans (w/labels removed) for the craft time.
(Only the regular size cans- 15 – 16 oz. No large cans.)

Please be praying for our youth as they plan to attend the Teen Extreme Camp July 6th – 10th. Also pray for the Landmark Camp at Groveland the following week- July 12 – 17. This is a family camp for all ages. Please see Becky Rumpza for information and registration.

The Pidgen scriptures for South Africa and the final World Cup scriptures were picked up from our shop today. THANK YOU to all who came out and helped to load and unload today. We now have enough Portuguese and Spanish Scriptures to keep us busy for several weeks. The Seedline work will resume at the regular Thursday morning hours tomorrow.

Our Mission outreach and impact continues to grow. We were blessed to take on Emilee Coffey this past Sunday for support to serve in South Africa. She is currently in South Africa for the summer to help there before beginning her deputation in the fall. We were also glad to help Luke and Audrey Coffey with their internship for the country of Columbia. Along with a $3,000 offering from the church, another $2,500 was given by some to help them, for a total of
$5,500. They still need to raise about $10,000 for their internship. Please pray for them.

Our church currently supports 55 different missionaries. It is a joy to have a part in reaching the world with the gospel and being obedient to the command of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

May GOD continue to bless Eastern Avenue Baptist Church as we seek to continue-

“FORWARD IN THE FAITH.”

Pastor Jim Callen
