In a paragraph, how did you become Born Again?
I was born into a wonderful Christian family, but soon realized that that wasn’t enough to save me. I accepted the Lord as my Saviour when I was 4 years old. I remember bowing my head at our kitchen table and asking the Lord to save me that day.
In a paragraph, can you describe the mission or vision of your ministry?
We desire to start churches in Brazil. Our mission is to see people turn to the Lord and accept Him as their Saviour. We are currently working on building a deaf church and have already begun to reach out to deaf individuals, whom, with the Lord’s help, we will lead to Him and start discipling.
What is the biggest challenge(s) or difficulty that you face as a missionary?
In terms of the deaf work, it’s not easy to find deaf people to talk to. And, once we’ve found them, it’s not easy to be accepted into their community. We pray that the Lord will lead us to the right people and places, and that He may give us wisdom on how to deal with each individual. In terms of Brazil in general, I believe one of our greatest difficulties is the Catholic Church, which has such a strong hold on people’s lives.
Do you have any prayer requests that we can pray for you?
Please pray for the construction of the deaf church. It has already begun, but things here in Brazil take a while to get completed. Also, please pray that the Lord will give us wisdom on how to serve Him better in Brazil. As for personal requests, please pray for our growing family. Abby is expecting our second baby.
