What is the name of the Country where you minister?
Mozambique
What is your website address and/or facebook page?
https://www.clowermissions.com
How long have you been on the mission field?
1 year and 4 months
In a paragraph, how did you become Born Again?
I was raised in a Christian home. My parents consistently shared God’s word and the gospel with me. Additionally, we always went to church. I heard the gospel from the time I was born. One Sunday night when I was 6 years old, I understood that I was a sinner and needed to be saved. That night I accepted Jesus as my Savior.
In a paragraph, can you describe the mission or vision of your ministry?
The main goal of our ministry is multiple church planting. We want to do this by preaching the gospel and evangelizing the lost. In time God will raise up young men that we can train for the ministry. We can then assist them in starting churches where they will pastor. Our goal is to train men who train men according to 2 Timothy 2:2 and to follow the pattern of Jesus Christ who trained the disciples/apostles.
What is the biggest challenge(s) or difficulty that you face as a missionary?
– Missionaries face many challenges.
– There are spiritual challenges as we face spiritual warfare in places where there is little gospel witness.
– There are also physical challenges as Mozambique is a difficult place to live.
– It’s normal to have difficulties trying to find basic things.
– Also, it is normal for the electricity or water to be turned off at random times sometimes for multiple days.
– There are emotional challenges as we live far from family and friends. It’s natural to miss family. We often miss life events of our loved ones as well.
– These are some normal challenges that we face.
– But the greatest challenge is the overwhelming need. There are so many churches in Mozambique but very few preach the gospel. We have talked to many people that call themselves Christian but have never truly heard the gospel.
– Also, Islam is growing rapidly in Mozambique. At every service in our church we can hear the Muslim call to prayer. Millions are deceived by this false religion. The need is great but the labourers are few.
Do you have any prayer requests that we can pray for you?
– Pray for us as we continue to learn Portuguese.
– Pray for a new Bible study we are starting next month.
– Pray for us as we search for a location to start our first church.
– Pray for our daughters (Everleigh and Kinsleigh) that God would save them at a young age.
